Toukley Preschool Kindergarten Inc. Is a not-for-profit, community-based preschool established in 1967 to provide quality preschool education and care, preparing children for the transition to school.

We offer affordable, high quality care and education provided by fully qualified and experienced staff.

We are a two unit preschool catering for the early education of children 3 - 6 years. We are licensed to provide care for up to 40 children per day, Monday to Friday, excluding all Public School Holidays and Gazetted State and National Public Holidays.

About Us

Our curriculum is based on the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia (EYLF) model. The EYLF communicates the key ideas of Belonging, Being and Becoming through the learning outcomes; children have a strong sense of identity; children are connected with and contribute to their world; children have a strong sense of well-being; children are confident and involved learners; and children are effective communicators.

Toukley Preschool Kindergarten would like to acknowledge the contributions of the traditional custodians of this land and pay respect to Elders both past and present.

We acknowledge the contribution of Aboriginal Australians, Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Aboriginal Australians to the education and care of all children and people in this country that we share.

As we share our own knowledge, teaching and learning may we also pay respect to the knowledge embedded forever within the Aboriginal Custodianship of our country.

Our staff are the heart and soul of our preschool. The continuity of our staff is something we are very proud of. Our staff remain constant from year to year and the fact that many of them have been employed by Toukley Preschool for well over 15 years is testament to the happy working environment provided by the service. Toukley Pre-School is truly the most beautiful Pre-school that is full of kind, caring staff who value every child in their care. My son loved attending Pre-School and he loved the connections he made with all the staff, who truly valued who he was as a person. Even through the numerous challenges that COVID brought to 2020 and 2021, Preschool was always a welcoming place and the staff went above and beyond to connect with the families and ensure children still had access to high quality learning experiences (whether on-site or through the home learning packs they put together). I looked around all the preschools in the area before I chose to send my 2 children to Toukley Preschool. I have been very happy with all aspects of the pre-school. Every morning that I drop off my children, I feel confident that the staff will look after my children with care and enthusiasm.
