Toukley Preschool Kindergarten Inc. Is a not-for-profit, community-based preschool established in 1967 to provide quality preschool education and care, preparing children for the transition to school.

We offer affordable, high quality care and education provided by fully qualified and experienced staff.

We are a two unit preschool catering for the early education of children 3 - 6 years. We are licensed to provide care for up to 40 children per day, Monday to Friday, excluding all Public School Holidays and Gazetted State and National Public Holidays.

About Us

Our curriculum is based on the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia (EYLF) model. The EYLF communicates the key ideas of Belonging, Being and Becoming through the learning outcomes; children have a strong sense of identity; children are connected with and contribute to their world; children have a strong sense of well-being; children are confident and involved learners; and children are effective communicators.

Toukley Preschool Kindergarten would like to acknowledge the contributions of the traditional custodians of this land and pay respect to Elders both past and present.

We acknowledge the contribution of Aboriginal Australians, Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Aboriginal Australians to the education and care of all children and people in this country that we share.

As we share our own knowledge, teaching and learning may we also pay respect to the knowledge embedded forever within the Aboriginal Custodianship of our country.

Our staff are the heart and soul of our preschool. The continuity of our staff is something we are very proud of. Our staff remain constant from year to year and the fact that many of them have been employed by Toukley Preschool for well over 15 years is testament to the happy working environment provided by the service. I have been absolutely thrilled with my child's time at Toukley Preschool. The team of educators provide an environment that is nurturing, safe & inclusive for all of our children. They are guided by our children's interests & personalities, and develop activities and programs that are tailored to individual children's needs and wants. The physical enviromnent of the preschool is beautiful, and very inspired by it's natural bush surroundings. We began at Toukley Preschool this year and have loved it. My twins run in excited and come home happy. I have felt welcomed by the staff during drop off and pick up.
